THE
CHALLENGE
Wide steel plates require a specialised transport solution. When transported horizontally, the full width of the plate determines the transport width. At the same time, the trailer must remain sufficiently strong and rigid, maintain a favourable tare weight and support practical loading, unloading and manoeuvring.
BluEquip brought these requirements together in one clear objective: to develop a trailer capable of transporting wide steel plates more compactly, stably and efficiently by road.
THE SOLUTION:
ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC TILTING UP TO 35°
The Steel Plate Loader features an electro-hydraulic tilting system that allows the load to be tilted by up to 35 degrees. By positioning the plates at an angle, plates 3.5 metres wide can be carried within a transport width of 3 metres.
The tilting structure also supports a practical loading and unloading process. This allows the trailer to combine a more compact transport width with efficient daily operation.

HIGH RIGIDITY
The chassis is constructed entirely from press-formed sheet steel. This construction method reduces the trailer’s tare weight without compromising strength or rigidity. The lower tare weight creates more capacity for payload per trip and contributes to lower operating costs.
For stability and manoeuvrability, the trailer is equipped with:
- A lift axle
- A tyre-pressure management system
- Air suspension
- An electro-hydraulic tilting system with a maximum tilt angle of 35 degrees.
